20 Foot Line Rule Information

Updated: September, 2009

Important information concerning the 20 foot line.

The members who were selected to look at the 20 foot line reached a decision over the past two weeks.

All members who were named on the received rosters will be allowed to throw from 20 feet.

The board members felt that if the teams and individual players felt that they truly needed to throw from the 20 foot line then it should be allowed.

If any team or any one person is using it solely for personal gain, or to have a competitive advantage in order simply to win, or to make a point about other they felt should not be using the line then that is between them and their conscience.

The board members, after looking at the league rules and statistics, all agreed each church is responsible for its own members and it would not be up to the league to decide what the reasoning is for the individual using the 20 foot line.  There is no set average and no set age.  The original purpose of the 20 foot line remains as described originally.  It is there to allow a person to continue to play the game of Dartball if there is no way they can throw safely from 25 feet and would NOT be able to play anymore.

Once again the board felt that anyone who is abusing the privilege will have to live with their own decisions and that in the spirit of Christian fellowship in which the league was founded they would allow all members submitted to use the 20 foot line.
